We’re a family of athletes, parents, and coaches who believe sports should build character, not crush kids. We’re here to restore the promise of the game—and remind the world why it matters.
More Than Ballers Foundation challenges athletes to define their greatness beyond the game. We provide tools and opportunities that develop character, leadership, and community stewardship so they can thrive long after the competition ends.
To shift the global sports culture to where an athlete's primary measure of success is their positive impact on the world. We see a future where athletes are celebrated not just for their physical gifts, but for their integrity, wisdom, and commitment to serving others.
Too many young athletes are drowning in pressure instead of growing in purpose.
Their worth gets reduced to stats, rankings, and playing time. Instead of falling in love with the game, they burn out under the weight of expectations. Without the right voices and mentorship, they miss out on learning the very lessons sports are supposed to teach—resilience, teamwork, and character
We change that. We help athletes see they’re more than highlights—they’re leaders in the making.
Parents invest thousands of dollars, countless weekends, and endless energy into their kids’ sports… only to feel used by a system that prioritizes profits over people.
They want their kids to develop discipline, humility, and confidence—but instead, they watch entitlement, toxic culture, and dangerous outside influences creep in.
We stand with parents, giving them tools and a community that reinforces the values they’re working so hard to build at home.
Even the best coaches feel stretched thin. Between parental pressure, entitled players, and being judged only on wins, many struggle to balance teaching skills with shaping character. They entered coaching to mentor—but too often end up managing chaos.
We partner with coaches, not replace them. We amplify their message, support their goals, and bring fresh energy so athletes listen, learn, and grow.
We teach ethics, accountability, and communication—showing athletes how to win with character and lose with grace.
We provide stipends and scholarships for leadership and service—not just athletic performance—so athletes see their off-court impact matters.
We believe it takes a healthy ecosystem to raise a healthy athlete.Through Empowerment Circles, parents and coaches gain tools for mentorship, communication, and mental health support. We win as a team.

Leadership & Character Development: Our core curriculum moves beyond drills and plays. We teach ethics, communication, and accountability, using sports as a metaphor for life. We show athletes that being a great teammate is more valuable than being the star and how to win with character and lose with grace.
Community Service Stipends: We fundamentally change the incentive structure. We provide financial stipends and scholarships not just for athletic achievement, but for demonstrated leadership and consistent community service. We pay athletes to be great human beings, teaching them that their impact off the court matters most.
A Culture of Partnership: We believe it takes a healthy ecosystem to raise a healthy athlete. Parents and coaches don’t sit on the sidelines—they’re active partners. Our Empowerment Circles equip them with tools for communication, mentorship, and mental health support. We win as a team.

“My kid was crying on the way home after a game, I called the Haywoods, they unpacked her frustrations, encouraged her, gave her tips to improve her game and complimented her bravery. No crying ride homes since”
